At the conclusion of dinner our first evening in Kingston,
Dr. Hurga Reynolds, Director of Student Services at UWI,
provides us with an orientation to Jamaica. Dr. Reynolds not only made sure
that dorm and food arrangements were excellent, she made evening visits and
telephone calls to make absolutely certain that we were comfortable and safe
in our dormitory, and that we had access to all the facilities on campus.
Each of us was issued a photo ID as a visiting student or instructor to use while we were there.
