Gathering in the office of Dr. Richard Harrison, Permanent
Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture. Dr. Harrison (fourth from
left, back row) and his hard-working assistant, Mrs. Marva Allen-Simms, who
took this photo, were instrumental in organizing our agricultural
visits. We discovered that Dr. Don McGlashan (third from left, back row), chief technical officer in the ministry, was once one of Dr. Smith's students. What a surprise. It seemed that most everyone who is anyone in Jamaican agriculture was either a classmate or student of Dr. Mike's. |
