A Brief Visit to our Linkage Partner in Querétaro, Mexico
Dr. Clark Brekke, Head, Food Science and Technology,and Richard Davis of IPANR visited Mexico in October. Dr. Brekke was invited to present a paper at the 7th International Symposium on Food Science and Technology at our partner institution, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Querétaro. This symposium was organized by the students in their food science program, and featured speakers from the U.S., Canada, and Costa Rica, as well as a number of speakers from Mexico. More importantly, this was an excellent opportunity to renew the agreement between UT and our linkage partner. Richard took an extra week on campus to study Spanish, and to get more familiar with the campus, students, teachers, and administrators.
