Dr. Tom Hill discusses issues of pond management—frequent sampling of the prawn population and sampling for food residue—with a KU staff member in the Faculty of Fisheries. Drs. Sims and Hopper listen, while Mrs. Asby takes really good notes.

Dr. Barry Sims examines measuring spoons used by Thai researchers and hatcheries for counting prawn juveniles. The spoons are time-savers and are reportedly accurate. We brought some spoons back with us and are anxious to try them.
